Food, Glorious food! This could be my theme tune. I love food. French, Italian, Japanese or Indian, think of a type of cuisine and I've probably tried it.
My wife is a great chef who kindly cooks the food, and greedy chops here, eats it. She has a ridiculous amount of cookbooks. Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Delia Smith, Lorraine Pascal, and Rachel Khoo have taken vacations on the profits from books that she's bought. Not that I am complaining. "You lucky sod, eating so well!" I hear you say. You're right!
However, all is about to change. My wife is heavily pregnant and not very mobile. It's time for me to Man Up, and start cooking!
Up until now my cooking repertoire consisted of a very dodgy spaghetti bolognese, sausage and mash, and packet mix fajitas. But man cannot live on these alone. So today I am diving into the cookbooks and making a start.
This evening I am going to make Lorraine Pascal's "Quick brown sugar and spring onion chicken teriyaki."
Wish me luck, and "You stay classy… wherever you are!"
